Mike Berry
Mike's research role at RMIT University focused on urban development processes, urban social theory, economics and public policy, and housing markets and policy. He has carried out research of national significance and international reach into alternative financing approaches for affordable housing, and the impact of housing markets on the macro economy. The Professor Mike Berry Award is given annually to the author of the best paper at the Australasian Housing Researchers Conference. The award is jointly funded by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute and Housing Choices Australia.
Mike's writing on political and contemporary issues includes the highly acclaimed books Morality & Power and The Affluent Society Revisited.
Writing under the pseudonym Jon Luanna, Mike has also published a spy novel, The Great Game.
